Why did you choose to go into fashion?

I fell into it quite by chance but when I did my first year of training at Studio Berçot I knew it was what I would love.

Could you describe to us your creative universe?

In my brand, you can find lots of basics such as a leather tote bag, a lamb wool scarf, shirt dresses or cord pants that I renew each year in new colors or fabrics, because there are, for me, essential items. The little touch from elsewhere it is my line « Sélection » where I bargain-hunt original and craft items from all corners of the world.

What are your sources of inspiration?

I get my inspiration from everything, from my dailylife. For example, I sometimes take pictures or a screenshot when I’m watching a movie to keep the image from a model, a combination of colors or a volume that I like. I also have a notebook where I stick torn images from magazines or photocopies from books. What I like the most is to follow someone secretly to photograph this little relevant detail that she is wearing and that I can’t let go of.

How do you go about making your pieces?

Currently, my pieces are made in different countries. My goal is not to produce « made in France » or « made in Paris » but always to work in good conditions with motivated and passionate people and to keep on promoting the craft from all origins. Once the fabric is printed, the pieces are manufactured by myself in my workshop or by the designers I am working with here in Paris. I would like to set up a system where I could work with more cooperatives but for now at my scale it is difficult. However, I am lucky to know very well the craftspeople I am working with, to see how they work, and I always manage that things are being done with equity and transparency.

Could you tell us a couple words about your collaboration with MonDéfilé?

I am delighted to be able to collaborate with MonDéfilé. The team is very welcoming  and I think that it is a good springboard for young fashion designers just like me.

If you were to be a piece of clothing or an accessory, what would you be?

I would say the bag Falkor (leather tote bag) because it is chic and discreet at the same time, it matches quite easily with all styles.

"I love timeless Parisian chic with a touch from elsewhere."
