After studying at the Mod'Art International and the Paris Institute of Pattern-Making Sarah Solanet launched her own brand: Couleur Punk à l'Eau.

Who are you?

I had my first experience working on the film "Coco avant Chanel" from Anne Fontaine as a wardrobe assistant. I then became a costume designer for the famous institutions like "Le Fémis" and "Louis Lumière" before working as a dresser on the catwalks of Jean Paul Gaultier, Martin Margiela, Chanel and many others. My brand name is "Couleur Punk à l'eau", a line of jewelry plexiglass.

Why did you choose to go into fashion ?

Fashion is my vocation. I got offered a sewing machine when I reached the age of 10 and have always created my own clothes and accessories.

Could you describe to us your creative universe ?

Uncluttered and geometric.

What are your sources of inspiration ?

My inspirations are the world around me, technology, the arts in particular architecture, photo : Sarah Moon, Guy Bourdin, Bill Brandt, Mondino, Newton, the paintings of Soulage, Mondrian, Thierry Van Hasselt.

Fashion designers : Damir Doma, Dries Van Noten, AnnDemeulemeester, Iris Van Herpen, Rick Owens, Maison Martin Margiela, Comme Des Garçons ; Colors : black, white or gray, sea green or neon, bright pink, purple and dark red.

Could you tell us a couple words about your collaboration with MonDéfilé ?

Modern and existing.

If you were to be a piece of clothing or an accessory, what would you be ?

If I were an accessory, I'd be a pair of earrings "Couleur Punk à l'eau".
