Being addicted to handbags is totally normal. They are practical, reflect their owner’s personality, and improve any outfit. As you can see, here at MonDéfilé, we are bags collectors, and love wearing a different one for every occasion. But what bags are we going to wear this season?
The bucket bag
Both simple and chic, the bucket bag is an emblem of the fashion world, because it instantly reminds us of some iconic pieces created by Lancel or Lancaster. For spring summer 2016, the bucket bag is back on the podiums and in our wardrobes. It is more modern than ever, and goes with every single trend of the season. To go to work, we fall for the bucket style leather handbag by Bleecker Blues, that we wear with a flare top like the leather and crepe top with long sleeves by Emy Rigeot, a black leather perfecto like the Olivier Battino leather perfecto and slim pants or a tight skirt. For a romantic look, we would rather have the Biba leather bucket bag by Maradji, to wear with a white dress like the T’Edith dress with flounce sleeves, and a headband like the silk flower crown by Cécile Boccara. Finally, for an outfit that sticks to the bohemian trend, we absolutely love the grey version of the Biba leather bucket bag by Maradji, that we wear with women large pants like the silk sarouel pants by Olivier Battino and a fringe jacket like the leather biker jacket with fringes by the French fashion blogger Fringe & Frange.
The tiny bag
Even smaller than a clutch, the tiny bag allows us to carry only the essential. Barely bigger than a wallet, it is perfect for a night out or to slip in a larger bag after putting our keys, money and mobile in it. For an urban look, we go for the Darris two-color leather bag Insolente, to wear with a women bomber jacket like the satin bomber jacket by Karine Amzallag, and boyfriend jeans. For a summery outfit, we would rather go for the Alphone little leather clutch bag by Maradji, to wear with shorts and a loose cut top like the Olivier Battino silk blouse or the transparent veil long shirt by Emy Rigeot. While we wait for summer, we will stick to a springy look with the three clasp leather shoulder bag Lizzy by Tammy & Benjamin. It fits perfectly to a retro look: a ruffle dress like the denim ruffled mini dress by Angéline Dangelser and a short jacket like the tailored short jacket by Elodie Oberlé.
The shoulder bag
Whatever the trend is, we always get back to the shoulder bag. Very practical when you want both hands free (during a shopping spree, a touristic tour, at a concert…), this season, we like it small and in a rectangular shape. This is why we love the Nina shoulder bag by Maradji, whose Jacquard patterns make us feel in summer, especially if it is worn with women shorts like the high waisted shorts by the french fashion blogger Fringe & Frange, and a tanktop or sleeveless top like the silk sleeveless top by Meryl Suissa. For an urban outfit, we completely love the Leon quilted leather shoulder bag by Catherine Gaillard. Chic and original, it energizes any serious outfit, that is a women suit jacket like the woman wool-twill blazer by Milkaya Laijah, and 7/8 length trousers like the 7/8 length trousers by Olivier Battino. And as the sunny days are coming, we do not hesitate to put some colours in our clothes and accessories, like the leather and raphia shoulder bag by Otinguema that reminds us of our beach bags. We like wearing it with a flashy outfit: a colourful dress like the orange one shoulder shift draped dress by Olivier Battino and a “bling-bling” watch like the neon orange Insouciante watch by Les Partisanes.
Last winter, we were used to wearing a clutch for any occasion. This summer, we will save it for evenings. For the first nights of the year spent with our friends on terraces, the two-colour leather clutch bag by Ause is perfect. Half a clutch, half a shoulder bag, it perfectly goes with a chic and classy outfit: a silk top like the silk and leather top by Bibana Paris, a skater skirt like the short skater skirt by Elodie Oberlé, and a wool coat like the wool coat with leather sleeves by Ause. For weekends and summer nights, we will prefer the Joseph leather clutch by Maradji. It perfectly sticks to the bohemian chic trend, a we totally picture ourselves wearing it with a long skirt like the pleated maxi skirt by Luc Darribère, a crop top or short top like the jersey crop top by Pierre Henry Bor, and a hat, headband or turban like the Bird cotton turban by House of Turban. Finally, we will save the Mina bag by Kaleido for romantic nights. Graphic and feminine, it goes very well with a sexy black dress like the short pencil dress by Milkaya Laijah, an a silver cuff like the sterling silver cuff bracelet Anguis by Isabelle Michel.
